Social Media Manager – Part-time, Internship
As the Social Media Manager, your role entails managing the social media campaigns for LIS in collaboration with marketing and event managers. You will be designing and planning campaigns for each event and publicise it through our social media accounts. As well as publishing aesthetic content, you will engage the public with your creative posts. You will directly report to Director of Marketing Manager.
Responsibilities
Publishing Events
- Administrate the creation and publishing of relevant, original and high-quality content (pictures, videos)
- Create and keep hashtags up to date with relevance to ongoing events
- Start-up online campaigns for events as soon as event details are established by the President
- To increase engagement,
repost posts made by attendees using hashtags of the event
Managing Social Media Accounts
- Oversee the design of LIS social media accounts
- Answering any questions asked on social media accounts
- Monitoring trends of hashtags used in social media
- Keeping social media accounts updated regularly and upload reminder posts of events closer to the event day
Promoting events on Level39 platforms
- Ensure pictures and videos were taken during events fit within the size guidelines of L39
- Provide L39 with pictures of events to be published on their website, newsletter and TV screens
Collaborate with other team members
With the Event Manager:
- Plan what will be posted pre, post and during events
- Discuss whether posts will be sponsored, if so which ones
- Report engagement obtained on social media
- If faced with negative comments/feedback, address the matter to the Event Manager as soon as possible
With the Photographer/Videographer:

Oversee that posted content meets certain requirements of different social media platforms
Qualifications
- Administering and using social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn
- Aesthetic skills

- Satisfaction oriented
Required Experience
- Relevant work experience as a social media manager is desirable
Important Note
Some events and meetings require availability out-of-hours (evenings and Saturdays).
